Step 1:

The first step to adding music is to install the program. Download the program from the Movavi website ad follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Step 2:

Once you have launched the program after the installation is complete; in the welcome window choose the “Create Project in Full Feature Mode” option. This will give you access to all the features the video editor offers. Once done, click “Add Media Files” and choose the video and audio files you wish to combine. Your files will appear in the main timeline on two separate tracks, one for video and one for audio.

Step 3:

Now you have your video and audio files on the timeline, it is time to adjust the audio so it fits with the video. If you have a song that is too long for the video, you can trim this by placing the red marker on the audio track where the video ends. Press “Split” and you’ll have cut the unwanted audio away. You can also double the audio if you have a video that is longer than the audio track.

You also have the option of choosing a preset format that will optimise the file for mobile devices or uploading to the internet. Step 1:

It is now time to add music. Still using the slideshow wizard, go to the third tab and click “+Audio”. Here you can choose which audio files to use over your slideshow. Alternatively, you can also pick from the selection of built-in audio tracks available. Once chosen, synch you music with the video by clicking “Yes” and adjusting the “Minimum Slide Duration”. Once you are happy, click the “Finish” button.

Once you are completely happy with your slideshow, click “Export” and choose which format you wish your video to be saved to. You can also select preset formats which will optimise your video for either mobile devices or for uploading to the internet. Now simply choose the location to save your slideshow in, name the file, and click “start”. You’re slideshow will be created and saved. Well done! You have just added music to a slideshow.
